HOW IT WORKS

A purchase estimate you can inspect.

TapeToCart separates measured need, planning allowance, and supplier-order rounding so you can understand where the final purchase quantity comes from.

How the calculation works

For a rectangular project, length is multiplied by width to find surface area. Area is then multiplied by gravel depth to determine material volume.

27 ft³ = 1 yd³

The selected extra-material allowance is added after the measured volume.

Before you order

Confirm the gravel product, finished depth, delivery requirements, supplier minimum order, and available order increments.

If purchasing by weight, use the bulk density supplied for the actual product whenever possible.

Sources and assumptions

U.S. customary volume calculations use 27 cubic feet per cubic yard.

Aggregate weight is not treated as universal because bulk density varies by material and conditions.

Bag calculations should use the package volume shown on the actual product being purchased.
