Summary

This policy explains what is processed when you visit TapeToCart (“the site”), including data handled by the third-party services required to host and operate it.

Calculator inputs

All calculators on this site run client-side in your browser using JavaScript. The dimensions, prices, and other values you type are processed on your own device to display a result. They are not transmitted to us, not written to a database, and not retained after you close or reload the page.

Information collected automatically

This site is hosted on Blogger, a service operated by Google. Like virtually all web hosting, Blogger’s servers automatically record standard technical request data when a page is served. This typically includes:

• IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Browser type, operating system, and device type
• The page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request

This data is processed by Google as the hosting provider under Google’s own privacy terms. We use it only in aggregate form, where available, to understand which calculators are used and whether pages are working correctly.

Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, such as _ga, to tell visits apart and measure aggregate traffic. Some cookies may also be set by the hosting platform for essential functionality. Google and its advertising partners may set advertising cookies to serve and measure ads, as described under Advertising below. Where the law requires it, these are used only after you consent.

Your browser gives you control over cookies: you can block or delete them in your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not prevent the calculators from working, because they do not depend on cookies.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how the site is used in aggregate: pages viewed, traffic sources, device and browser types, approximate region, and how often each calculator’s Calculate button is used.

The values you type into a calculator are not sent to Google Analytics. Only the name of the calculator is recorded when you press Calculate.

Google processes this data under its own privacy terms. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google, to display ads that help cover hosting and development costs. Advertising never uses the values you type into a calculator.

The following applies to advertising on this site:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising from participating third-party vendors at the industry opt-out pages operated by the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative.

Information you send us directly

If you email us, we receive the content of your message and your email address. We use that information only to respond to you and, where relevant, to correct an error you reported. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share contact details.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for a general adult audience planning home improvement projects. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
